ROSECEA TREATMENT

PRICE: VARIES

Rosacea is a common condition which is often distressing.

It is not yet possible to cure Rosacea however it is extremely responsive to the right treatment and can often be completely controlled.

Clients are often very worried that they may have a long-term progressive condition with no hope of relief. However, there are treatment options both for the inflammatory component of rosacea (in other words the spots) and for the redness and flushing. Both of these can be very effectively treated with good results.

A real breakthrough in the understanding of Rosacea occurred a few years ago. We now think that rosacea is a disorder of the skin inbuilt (innate) immune system causing inflammation. The skin of Rosacea sufferers has been described as being ‘hard-wired for inflammation.’

Rosacea causes an increased production of a natural skin chemical called Cathelicidin, which not only causes spots but probably causes long-term damage to the skin including the development of widened blood vessels and fixed redness.

Fortunately we have treatments which are able to control the level of this chemical in the skin and reverse and reduce the signs of Rosacea. People with Rosacea often require long term treatment to give control but the treatment tends to be successful and rewarding.

HOW DO YOU TREAT ROSECEA?

We offer all clients a free consultation to asses your skin and discuss treatment options. During your consultation, we will determine which treatment will be most suitable for your skin type and to achieve the results you desire in the gentlest way for your skin.

We may employ intense pulsed light treatment. These treatments use light to target blood vessels. A pulse of light is delivered in a fraction of a second to the skin which warms the blood vessel causing it either to burst or to be injured. This then leads to blood vessel re-modelling over the next few weeks.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Our Rosecea treatment can help you manage this condition effectively, helping to calm inflammation and reduce redness.

HOW LONG DOES A ROSECEA TREATMENT TAKE?

Rosecea Treatment appointments normally last 45 mins to an hour.

CAN I COMBINE A ROSECEA TREATMENT WITH ANOTHER TREATMENT?

Yes! Rosecea Treatments can be combined with many of our treatments, such as our Facials or a facial such as our Skin Radiance 'So Pure' Organic Facial or Shrinking Violet Wrap.

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE?

You may start to see some results after your first session. Results will be more dramatic and noticeable once you’ve finished all your treatments.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A ROSECEA TREATMENT ?

The specific number of treatments required will be discussed during your free consultation and we will tailor your treatment plan to your goals and desired results, as well as your lifestyle.

HOW WILL I FEEL DURING A ROSECEA TREATMENT ?

Most clients feel relaxed during treatment, especially when you are laying on our luxury heated treatment bed. You may experience some tingling and redness during treatment and for a short time afterwards. We regularly check that you are comfortable and enjoying the treatment.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A ROSECEA TREATMENT ?

We may recommend specific aftercare products, and using a high factor sun cream is a good idea to help prevent your Rosacea from getting worse.
