WART REMOVAL

PRICE: FROM £55

Warts are small lumps on the skin that most people have at some point in their life.

These small, noncancerous growths appear when your skin is infected with one of the many viruses of the human papillomavirus (HPV) family. The virus triggers extra cell growth, which makes the outer layer of skin thick and hard in that spot. While they can grow anywhere you have skin, you're more likely to get one on your hands or feet. The type of wart depends on where it is and what it looks like.

Warts are highly contagious and are mainly passed by direct skin contact, such as when you pick at your warts and then touch another area of your body. You can also spread them with things like towels or razors that have touched a wart on your body or on someone else's. Warts like moist and soft or injured skin.

There are many types of warts: Common Warts, Plantar Warts, Flat Warts, Filiform Warts and Genital Warts.

Warts usually go away on their own but may take months or even years. Wart removal is preferred to remove unsightly warts on visible areas of the body, or warts that get caught on clothing and become irritated.

DOES WART REMOVAL HURT?

The treatment relatively painless and rarely requires any local anaesthetic. However, if the Wart is large or you are concerned, a numbing cream can be applied before treatment. After treatment the skin left behind may be tender for a few days and will need to be covered. It is also best to use a strong sunscreen on the area.

IS WART REMOVAL SAFE?

Wart removal is completely safe and is only carried out by a qualified Aesthetician in a clinical environment. We work to strict protocols exceeding all regulatory and clinical requirements.

WHERE ON MY BODY CAN I HAVE TREATMENT?

You can have Warts removed from anywhere on your body.

CAN I HAVE MY WART REMOVED JUST BECAUSE I DON’T LIKE THE LOOK OF IT?

Unless your doctor feels there is a medical reason not to remove your Warts, we are happy to remove your Warts for cosmetic reasons. We remove Warts for a lot of clients who cannot receive the treatment on the NHS.

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE?

The treatment will completely remove your Wart; however there will be a small white scar where the removal took place. Larger Warts may take several treatments.

WILL THE WART COME BACK?

The treatment will permanently remove the Wart. However, this will not stop Warts from reoccurring in other areas in the future.

WHAT ARE WARTS?

A Wart is a small growth with a rough texture that can appear anywhere on the body. It can look like a solid blister or a small cauliflower. Warts are caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus (HPV) family.

HOW DO YOU GET WARTS?

Warts are actually an infection in the top layer of skin, caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus, or HPV, family. When the virus invades this outer layer of skin, usually through a tiny scratch, it causes rapid growth of cells on the outer layer of skin – creating the wart.

HOW WILL I FEEL DURING WART REMOVAL?

The treatment may cause very slight discomfort, but is usually very mild.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WART REMOVAL?

There will be a small white scar where the Wart has been removed. Other than that, complications are rare
